Board of Directors
A message from Susan Yubas, Chair
It is an honor to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors of Hospice of Westchester.
Choices at the end of life affect us all. Having been involved with the health care community for most of my professional life – more recently with a focus on aging – I have come to appreciate that how we provide care as life nears its end is just as important as how we provide care at other times. At HOW, we strive to enhance total well-being, while supporting the individual choices and preferences of our patients, and we continue to comfort those left behind when life ends.
In order to do so, we need to assure that people get the right services, at the right time, in the right place. It means wishes and preferences are heard, and acted upon. It means having a staff who deliver care with skill and compassion. It means keeping our patients and their families informed about the treatment and care available to them, changes in their condition, and how this might affect them as time goes on.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, THANK YOU, for your support and for making Hospice of Westchester the Hospice of choice in Westchester County. We are privileged to join you and your family on this journey and are dedicated to helping your loved ones make the best of each day.
